Earthquake relief
With
the massive devastation caused by the massive Earthquake in
Port-Au-Prince Haiti, many people want to help our global neighbors.
While there are many great organizations on the front lines, we would
like to suggest the following organizations if you wish to make
financial contributions.
Lutheran world relief:
Donations to the Haiti
Earthquake fund
can be made by phone at 800-LWR-LWR-2, online at

or
a long term relief project to complete a desperately needed water system
upgrade for the hospital and village we support in Cange. This
project is called the bread and water project. The village of
Cange is receiving patients from Port-Au-Prince and is using the Church
and School as makeshift hospital wards. The current water system
was done over 20 years ago and was designed for of village of 2000
people. There are now over 6000 people in the area and many more
are expected while the capital city is being rebuilt over the next few
years. The plan which has already been started will add 3 new feed
lines from the fresh water spring, add a 2nd pump, add 2 huge cisterns
to store water to be place above the village and most importantly, a UV
light sterilization system to ensure clean water for the hospital and
village. To donate to this project
