10AM One Combined Worship Service

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED

Because of the economy and more people needing assistance with food we will be collecting canned goods for BOTH Good Neighbor Cupboard and A.I.M. We will be alternating each agency every other month — October will be for A.I.M. and November for Good Neighbor Cupboard. As we have done in the past there will be a box in the room off the narthex to receive your donated items.

Food list: Peanut Butter, rice, dried beans, pasta, canned meat, can fruit, oatmeal, grits, flour, sugar, cereal, cooking oil--cleaning/personal hygiene list: bath soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, toilet tissue, laundry soap, bleach, cleaning solutions (Lysol, Mr. Clean for example). Items are gathered and taken to each agency (if needed) on a weekly basis.

We have new e-mail addresses

for the church.  The church office is
htlc@htlc-anderson.com
and the pastor is

Copies of The Little Church on the Corner — A History of Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church were distributed at the History Night program held February 23rd. If your family was unable to attend that evening you may pick up your copy before or after church services on Sunday. This special 224 page book written by Albert (Al) B. Stokes, III (former member and brother of Sid Stokes) details the rich heritage of our church. By action of congregation council each member family will receive one copy free of charge. Additional copies may be purchased for $25.00 and will be available in the church office.

Prints of the portrait that were shown at the Festival Service Luncheon are for sale.  If you would like to purchase a watercolor print of the church by artist, Diann Simms, please contact Vicki Lybrand.  Prints are $20.00.  The offer will end Easter Sunday.  Call 261-9401 or e-mail VJLybrand@aol.com

At the Congregational Meeting on 5/14/06, the decision was made to purchase the Kelly property (now called Luther House) located behind the Fellowship Hall at a price of approximately $75,000.00  Please prayerfully consider this as we will be making a loan for this purchase and will need your continued donations (Building Fund) toward payment of this loan.  Please mark your check "Luther House or Kelly Property" toward payment of this loan.
